Kevin De Bruyne: Jose Sa appeared to ask Man City star to take it easy on him

Manchester City continued their impressive run of form away at Wolves this Saturday.

The Citizens have swept aside everything that’s come before them so far this campaign, except one particularly stubborn Newcastle team, and are increasingly looking like a near unstoppable force.

Led by the brilliant Kevin De Bruyne and his new partner in crime Erling Haaland, the duo are tearing up the Premier League on behalf of Pep Guardiola.

The final score line read 3-0 to City on the day, but in truth, the team never really got out of third gear after taking the lead through Jack Grealish 55 seconds into the clash.

Haaland put the game to bed in the 16th minute as he fired in his 11th goal of the campaign to date.

Before Phil Foden provided the icing on the cake deep into the second half, converting home from De Bruyne’s cross.

It was another impressive display all round, for City, however it was De Bruyne that was selected for the Man of the Match award after serving up two assists for his teammates.

And it seems like the performance of the Belgian came as no surprise to Wolves keeper, Jose Sa.

That’s because prior to the teams walking out onto the pitch on Saturday, footage appears to show the Portuguese stopper touching De Bruyne on the shoulder and asking him to go easy on him.

Those amongst you with a great memory will remember that last season De Bruyne thumped four past Sa as City annihilated Wolves 5-1 last season.

And so, one would presume that Sa is referencing that scintillating De Bruyne performance in his interaction with the star.

Check the moment out for yourself below.
