Kerry Katona suffers passport drama after sharing plans to quit the UK

Kerry Katona has shared her frustrations after being left unable to renew her passport - which could jeopardise her future plans to quit the UK. The former Atomic Kitten singer has recently shared her plans to leave her home and move to Spain with her family.

She recently said she thinks she and her family could have a "nice life" in Spain, writing in her new! magazine column, "[Moving to Spain] is something Ryan and I are looking into. We are likely to do another 12 months in the UK, and my mum will have a base here so whenever I come back that will be where we stay."

Kerry, who recently moved back to the North, went on: "I went to London for a work meeting last week and it’s a whole day of travelling. You can hop on a plane and be in Marbella in less time. So, that’s our plan. It’s exciting. I want to wake up to some sunshine every single day. It would be a nice life, but I also want to make sure it will be a working life.

However, on Wednesday, the mum-of-five took to Instagram to vent about passport problems. Sharing a snap of herself looking unimpressed, she said she "cannot get a passport appointment" and asked for "help". But she's not alone as the Passport Office continues to report waits of up to 10 weeks for a first or replacement passport.

Last year Kerry, from Warrington, said she was 'regretting moving back up north'
