Kerry Katona says women taking leave during their periods should just 'crack on'

Kerry Katona has blasted women for taking leave from work during their periods - saying they should 'crack on' in her New magazine column.

The former Atomic Kitten singer has weighed in on the debate of female staff being able to take paid menstrual leave from work saying that women should 'keep hydrated' and a 'heated pad for your stomach', reports the Mirror.

TV personality Kerry, 42, said in her column: "We were talking about periods on my BBC podcast last week and I heard that Spain is passing a law to allow workers to take paid 'menstrual leave' from work.

"I mean, we've all powered through so far, haven't we? Keep hydrated, get some paracetamol down you and a heated pad for your stomach.

"I did three panto performances with Covid. I felt like I was dying but I kept going. But that's my work ethic, you've just got to crack on."

It comes just after Kerry returned from Turkey to enjoy some fun in the sun with her children. The mum-of-five also hit headlines last month after she sent a 'massive apology' to new parents Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury for first urging them to change the name of their newborn, who they had called Bambi.

Kerry was among those to publicly criticise the name choice and weighed into the name debate in her OK! magazine column, admitting she was 'not a fan' of the name and suggesting the pair consider changing it

She later shared a video to Instagram where she admitted she 'thought she was being funny' and sent a 'massive apology' to Molly-Mae following the backlash.
