Kepa Arrizabalaga: Did assistant referee laugh after penalty vs Liverpool?

Kepa Arrizabalaga had an afternoon to forget as Liverpool defeated Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final.

The Spanish goalkeeper was brought on in extra-time to influence the game and he did, just not in Chelsea’s favour.

He didn’t save a single one of Liverpool’s 11 penalties and was responsible for handing the trophy to the Reds when he blasted his effort over the bar.

If we were to give each player a rating after the match, Kepa himself would have few complaints about receiving a 0 out of 10.

He’s come out in defiance after Sunday’s match though, writing on social media: “To fall and rise… we keep working.”

It’s now two Carabao Cup finals in which Kepa has come out of it as the biggest story and the drama that he’s provided has been absolutely incredible.

Hopefully we get to see him in next year’s edition. What will he have in store, a last-minute clanger to hand Chelsea’s opponents the win?
