Kenny Dalglish annihilates Celtic conspiracy chatter over Brendan as icon reveals who ban has REALLY impacted

Bullish Kenny Dalglish has moved to shut down any conspiracy theory over Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers landing a one-game ban following his heated critique after defeat to Hearts.

He insists the Irishman should have been in front of the SFA beaks in the first place - and now insists the incidents have only served to ramp the pressure up on referee Don Robertson before the clash with Livingston. Rodgers will not be in the dugout for the clash in West Lothian as he serves his ban - with an additional suspended game issued to the Parkhead boss that carries over to next season.

The breach of SFA rules followed defeat to Hearts as he called out whistler Robertson and John Beaton in the VAR room for the controversial decisions to send off Yang and award a penalty to the Jambos following a handball from Tomoki Iwata. And while he will not be in the dressing room for the Scottish Premiership showdown, Rodgers will be back in the dugout for the trip across the city to face Rangers next week.

At Almondvale, it's straight back in the deep end for ref Robertson just three days after Rodgers face the SFA panel. And Dalglish questioned the mindset of the man in the middle after the governing body failed to give him a "vote of confidence" with Rodgers' sanction. Speaking in the Sunday Post, Dalglish said: "Some people are up in arms because Brendan Rodgers was only given a one-game touchline ban on Thursday.
