Kasumu starts: The predicted MK Dons XI to face Wycombe tonight

Concluding the normal League One season in style, MK Dons’ emphatic 5-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle proved to make no difference in their pursuit of automatic promotion, with Rotherham United sealing second spot.

Finishing third means that the Dons will travel to Buckinghamshire rivals Wycombe Wanderers, before welcoming the Chairboys back to Stadium MK on Sunday evening.

In what is set to be a clash of styles, Liam Manning will be hopeful of continuing their excellent campaign into the lottery that is the play-offs.

The Buckinghamshire club, who were dealt a massive blow at the start of the campaign when Russell Martin headed for pastures new in the higher division with Swansea City, have managed to exceed expectations under Manning.

Here, we take a look at how the Dons could line up for the first leg of the semi-final of the League One play-offs when they make the short trip to Adams Park…

Jamie Cumming has nine clean sheets to his name in 21 league appearances for the Dons this season, switching Gillingham for Buckinghamshire in January, and he has been excellent throughout.

Veteran defender Dean Lewington should be joined by Warren O’Hora and Harry Darling, with the trio performing excellently when deployed together this season.

Kaine Kesler has proven to be an excellent addition after Peter Kioso returned to Luton Town in January and is likely to start this evening.

On the opposite flank, Daniel Harvie has displayed his defensive competence and attacking threat all season, justifying a starting place against the Chairboys.

With excellent competition in the midfield, Conor Coventry is likely to line up next to Josh McEachran, with the pair showing brilliant levels of ability and energy in recent months.
