Karlan Grant shares honest message after netting in West Brom’s draw with Huddersfield

West Bromwich Albion forward Karlan Grant has admitted on Twitter that his side will keep on pushing between now and the end of the 2021/22 campaign.

The 24-year-old netted his 13th goal of the season on Friday as the Baggies staged a late fightback in their showdown with Huddersfield Town.

The Terriers opened the scoring in the 24th minute as Danny Ward diverted Sam Johnstone’s attempted clearance into the back of the net.

Following the break, Ward added a second for Huddersfield as he slotted home from close range.

Grant gave West Brom hope in the 84th minute by converting from the penalty spot after Sorba Thomas fouled Alex Mowatt in the area.

Andy Carroll then netted a dramatic equaliser for the Baggies as he headed home from Semi Ajayi’s cross.

As a result of this draw, West Brom moved to within seven points of the play-off places.

The Baggies will need to embark on a winning run if they are to emerge as legitimate contenders for a top-six finish.

Making reference to West Brom’s current situation on Twitter, Grant has suggested that his side will continue to push in the Championship.

The forward posted: “10 huge games left! We will keep on pushing”
