Juventus vs Salternitana: Wild scenes as four red cards shown at end of game
Juventus’ Serie A match with Salernitana on Sunday evening at the Allianz Stadium ended in complete mayhem.
Salternitana led 2-0 at half-time courtesy of goals from Antonio Candreva and Krzysztof Piątek.
But Juventus battled back in the second half.
Gleison Bremer reduced the deficit to one-goal in the 51st minute.
Juventus were then given a penalty in the third minute of stoppage time.
Leonardo Bonucci saw his spot-kick saved but he tucked home the rebound to restore parity.
Arkadiusz Milik then thought he had scored the winner in the 96th minute after he headed home Juan Cuadrado’s corner.
The Juventus striker went wild and, despite being on a yellow card, took off his shirt in celebration.
Milik was sent off and, to add insult to injury, the goal was ruled out for offside.
It all then kicked off after the final whistle as three red cards were shown.
Salternitana’s Federico Fazio and Juve’s Juan Cuadrado were sent off, as was Juve manager Massimiliano Allegri.
