Juventus player Fagioli banned for seven months over betting
MILAN : Juventus midfielder Nicolo Fagioli has been handed a seven-month ban as part of a settlement with the Italian football federation (FIGC) after breaching rules on betting on matches, the FIGC said on Tuesday.
Fagioli was given a 12-month ban, of which five months were suspended, and fined 12,500 euros ($13,225). He will also have to participate in treatment sessions to deal with problem gambling. ($1 = 0.9452 euros)
