Just 11 touches: Presenter slams ‘ineffective’ Everton ace who lost the ball six times

Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been slammed by YouTube presenter Peter McPartland for his 4/10 performance against Watford that saw the Englishman only rack up 11 touches throughout his time on the pitch.

Calvert-Lewin has struggled for game time this season through various injuries and as a result, Everton have failed to find form throughout the season and now finds themselves in a relegation battle with only three games of the season left.

In their latest game against Watford, the substitute failed to provide an impact nor get on the score sheet during a vital game in their relegation battle in which they needed to pick up all three points.

This has led to the player receiving criticism for his performance from Toffee TV host Peter McPartland in a player rating video after the game where Calvert-Lewin received a four out of ten for his showing.

He stated in the video: “We brought on Dominic Calvert-Lewin, I think he had 11 touches, looked really ineffective, nothing was sticking to him at all. Didn’t do anything really, given him a four.”

The criticism of the England international can be justified when you look at his SofaScore stats from the Watford game. He received a 6.4 rating for his performance after managing to not record a single shot on or off target, no key passes and failing his only dribble attempt.

He also lost both of his ground duels and lost possession six times while completing only 33% of his passes with the most surprising stat being he only managed 11 touches of the ball.
