Jurrien Timber representatives 'in England' over Manchester United move and more rumours

Representatives of Ajax defender Jurrien Timber are already in England to discuss a move to Manchester United, according to reports.

The 20-year-old has emerged as a potential addition under incoming manager Erik ten Hag - who gave the Dutchman his Ajax debut aged just 18. United are looking for defensive reinforcements after their frailties at the back have been exposed this season.

Captain Harry Maguire has come under scrutiny for his performances in a United shirt, leading to questions surrounding his role as captain. The Manchester Evening News reported previously that United had revived their interest in Villarreal defender Pau Torres as they target a centre-back this summer.

But with the arrival of Ten Hag, Timber has been a name repeatedly mooted to follow him from Ajax to Old Trafford. Journalist Jonathan Shrager, via the Express, has reported that the defender's representatives are currently in London to 'learn' United's plans.
