Jurgen Klopp approached Adam Lallana before Liverpool 's win over Brighton as the German caught up with his former player.

Lallana climbed off the bench for the Seagulls, before going off with an injury, as the Reds sealed a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah.

It was a business-like performance from Liverpool but Klopp made sure he saw his former player before kick-off.

Klopp embraced Lallana with a huge smile on his face before the pair shared a light-hearted conversation during warm-ups.

Lallana was a fan, and dressing room, favourite at Liverpool, but unfortunately, injuries curtailed his time at Anfield.

And it's been a common theme for the midfielder since he's moved onto Brighton.

Klopp has spoken highly of Lallana since leaving the club, however, and it's clear to see there is still a lot of respect between the two.

Liverpool kept the pressure on Manchester City in the title race with a crucial three points against Brighton.

But Klopp has played it down, insisting they are taking it one game at a time.

He said: "No no no, we don't avoid calling it [a title race], it's not our job to call it like that. It's always the same. City plays Monday and you expect them to win games.

"As long as we are behind them we do not feel the title race, the only thing we really feel is we want to win football games, as many as possible, and I can see that in the boys'
