Jurgen Klopp revealing his undying love for Divock Origi after Everton goal was pure gold

Divock Origi rounded off Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Everton on Sunday afternoon.

In what could well be one of his final ever appearances for Liverpool, Origi continued his superb scoring record in the Merseyside derby by delivering the host’s second goal on the night.

With Andrew Robertson having broken the deadlock with a close-range header, Liverpool’s go-to man when it comes to dramatic goals once again delivered the goods in front of the Kop.

It might not have been a stoppage-time winner as it was back in 2018, but there was nevertheless a familiarity about the way Origi bundled the ball past Jordan Pickford from a few yards out.

And considering that the Belgian striker has struggled so much for game time this season, there was something amusingly inevitable about him grabbing such a huge opportunity with both hands.

Joke as we all might about Origi always scoring big goals for Liverpool, but it’s not even really a gag at this point because there have simply been too many crucial strikes for it to be a coincidence.

And Jurgen Klopp is most certainly grateful for Origi’s ability to bail the Reds out when they need him most, showing his undying love for the 27-year-old when the final whistle blew at Anfield.

Brilliant footage showed the Liverpool boss embracing his substitute scorer as though he’d just won them the Premier League, underlining what a great relationship they have despite his limited game time.
