Jurgen Klopp confesses Celtic admiration as Angeball Parkhead spying missions have him ready for Tottenham showdown

Jurgen Klopp hasn't met Ange Postecoglou yet - but knows exactly what his teams are about after watching Celtic closely.

Liverpool and Tottenham are two of the form teams in the Premier League and they'll do battle this weekend with both yet to taste defeat. Postecoglou has turned Tottenham around while Klopp has regenerated his Anfield side after a tough season and several big departures and both are hoping to push Man City as far as they can.

When Postecoglou was appointed by Spurs he was viewed down south as a risky appointment and an unknown entity. But he wasn't unknown to Klopp who was already aware of what Angeball is about. And he's looking forward to a first handshake with a "top bloke" before their teams lock horns in North London.

He said at his press conference: “Tottenham are doing really well. Ange seems to be a top bloke. We haven’t met yet, I’m looking forward to meeting him, I’m pretty sure everybody knew that. When you saw Celtic play in recent years, what kind of coach he is, how good he is as a coach.

"He came to Tottenham when they were all desperate for some offensive football, and he’s delivering that, in a year when Harry Kane left the club. Yeah, he’s doing extremely well. They are doing extremely well. A well set-up team, exciting to watch, so it will be a real test – for both of us.”
