Jude Bellingham sends James Justin message after England call-up

Fellow footballers have been congratulating Leicester City star James Justin after he received his first senior England call-up.

Justin will join-up with Gareth Southgate's 27-man squad for the upcoming Nations League fixtures with Hungary, Italy and Germany in June, becoming the first City player to be called-up since Harvey Barnes in October 2020.

The inclusion comes after a string of eye-catching performances after returning from a Cruciate Ligament Rupture in February 2021. Since January's 3-2 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, the 24-year-old has made 20 appearances in all competitions and Southgate had previously hinted that Justin would be included in his squad had he not suffered his injury a month earlier.

With the Three Lions looking at a busy June month consisting of four fixtures, making his international debut will be on the wing-back's radar with Luke Shaw and former Leicester man Ben Chilwell not selected and the other full-back options all right-backs in Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kyle Walker, Reece James and Kieran Trippier.

The Foxes star posted a message on his social media channels after the announcement and was greeted with many messages from footballers across the world. City team-mates Kelechi Iheanacho, Timothy Castagne and Ayoze Perez all congratulated on Justin's Instagram page, whilst Jude Bellingham sent him a message himself.

Bellingham, who is a regular member in the England squad, commented "Congrats bro" as the pair prepare to join together at St George's Park on Monday.

Elliot Lee, James Shea, Sonny Bradley, Jack Stacey, Lloyd Jones and Cameron McGeehan, former team-mates of Justin at Luton Town, also sent their congratulations.
