Jude Bellingham in Ally McCoist nod amid God Save the King booing storm as Rangers hero finds ally in Real Madrid star

England star Jude Bellingham appeared to show support for Ally McCoist as the Rangers hero faces criticism for branding Scotland fans who booed God Save the King "out of order".

The Tartan Army drowned out the visitors' anthem at a packed Hampden Park for the friendly showdown with the Rangers legend - who was working on punditry duties - declaring that more respect should have been paid by the home supporters. The on-air dispute with talkSPORT presenter Alan Brazil has split opinion with the boo boys of the England anthem branded 'SNP supporters' by McCoist.

Despite a heated debate over his comments, McCoist remained undeterred and took to his Instagram page to share snaps from the game - including one alongside the commentary team of Dion Dublin and Steve Bower - while posting the 3-1 scoreline as the caption. Real Madrid's Bellingham wasted no time in commenting and sharing a smiling face emoji.

The 20-year-old and Scotland hero have previously struck up a friendship - with Bellingham stating when McCoist is on air he always listens. The former Ibrox striker and boss has previously joked he would allow the midfielder to date his daughters due to his level-headed personality.
