Journalist says Liverpool could now sign ‘almost unplayable’ forward as he makes big Salah claim

Writing in a column for newspaper Mundo Deportivo, as relayed by Sport Witness, journalist Xavier Bosch has made a big transfer claim involving Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele and Liverpool’s own Mohamed Salah.

As reported by reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool talks to renew their star man’s current deal broke down recently with no sign of an agreement.

The Egyptian’s deal runs out in 2023, giving the Anfield side little time to either extend his contract or decide to sell him while they can.

Liverpool doing the latter appears extremely unlikely but manager Jurgen Klopp and the club will need to seal an agreement for fresh terms sooner rather than later.

Sharing what he knows, reporter Bosch has made a claim on Klopp’s current Salah stance whilst also saying Liverpool’s boss is eyeing soon-to-be free agent Ousmane Dembele as a potential replacement.

Writing for Mundo, the journalist says Barca’s contract rebel could be heading ‘towards Paris [Saint-Germain] or Liverpool’ if he doesn’t renew.

Bosch adds that Klopp is beginning to fear he will be without Salah as soon as next season with the German believing Dembele’s ‘pace and dribbling would amaze at Anfield’.

There is no replacing Salah going by his phenomenal 2021/2022 campaign, with the 31-year-old bagging an incredible 28 goals and 10 assists this season.

Dembele, being called ‘almost unplayable‘ by pundit Rio Ferdinand just this year, would also come to Merseyside with a history of hamstring problems.

His £210,000-per-week wages could also be a slight stumbling block and we believe Liverpool are better placed simply sending an improved offer Salah’s way.
