Jose Mourinho reveals who he's supporting out of Real Madrid and Liverpool in Champions League

Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has revealed who he'll be supporting in the Champions League final on May 28.

Liverpool booked their place in the showpiece event with a 5-2 aggregate victory over Villarreal on Tuesday night. Real Madrid, meanwhile, managed to complete a seemingly impossible comeback to beat Manchester City at the Bernabeu.

Riyad Mahrez had put City 5-3 up with less than 20 minutes to go, however, a quickfire double from Rodrygo in stoppage time managed to take the tie into extra time. Karim Benzema scored the all-important penalty in the first period to ensure that Real would be heading to Paris at the end of the month.

While Madrid and Liverpool were booking their places in the Champions League final this week, Mourinho's Roma beat Leicester City to reach the Europa Conference League final. After that match, the Portuguese coach was quick to reveal who he would be backing.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, former United manager Mourinho said: "If you allow me a message for a coach who is my friend, the great Carletto [Carlo Ancelotti], let's both go and win the finals."

It is unsurprising that Mourinho would back Real considering his previous employment at the Bernabeu as well as Old Trafford. Roma will face Feyenoord in their final.
