Jose Mourinho in passionate Ukraine plea as AS Roma boss screams 'stop the war'

Jose Mourinho has made an impassioned plea to world leaders to do everything they can to stop the ongoing war in Ukraine.

The harrowing Russian invasion has the world yearning for peace after Vladimir Putin's actions.

Almost 2,000 Ukrainian civilians and soldiers have lost their lives since the invasion began and Roma boss Mourinho has added his voice to the masses begging for the violence to stop.

The former Manchester United and Chelsea manager said in an impassioned plea at his press conference: "Very objective, very pragmatic: stop the war. This one and all the others.

"Stop it, and if I have to repeat it, repeat it, repeat it every day, I will. Stop the war.

"I don't talk about politics. I am interested but I don't talk about it publicly.

"But I say, I scream and I repeat it every day, stop the war, always stop the war, all the wars."

The conflict has led to Scotland's World Cup qualifier with Ukraine being pushed back until June as the SFA do their bit to help the Ukrainian people.

In the place of the playoff semi-final will be a fundraising friendly with Poland with a £10 donation from each ticket sold going towards UNICEF’s humanitarian response in the country
