Jose Mourinho and PSG talks 'accelerating' despite ex Chelsea boss' camp denying ANY talks

Roma manager Jose Mourinho's talks with PSG are at an advanced stage as the French club looks for a long-term managerial solution, according to a report.

However, the ex-Chelsea boss' entourage denies any contact with the Ligue 1 side. According to RMC Sport, talks between Luis Campos, the PSG Footballing Advisor, and Mourinho's agent Jorge Mendes are at an advanced stage. Mourinho is no stranger to the headlines and his advisors have landed him in them again, as they deny any such discussions are taking place.

It's reckoned that the two-time Champions League winner is Campos' favoured target for the role, despite other high-calibre names such as Julian Nagelsmann and Zinedine Zidane also being touted as possible managerial candidates. Current boss Christophe Galtier has been far from impressive despite the side topping the league, as Champions League failure once again haunts another PSG manager.

Mourinho is currently doing a decent job with Roma with a Europa League semi-final with Bayer Leverkusen coming soon, they're the current UEFA Europa Conference League champions and only kept out of the Serie A European spots on goal difference.

As always though, the charismatic Portuguese is likely keen to have another crack at Champions League glory and his two titles will be attractive to PSG, a side in constant search of European football's biggest prize. RMC report that: "As for Mourinho, he ticks a lot of boxes but his compatibility with the locker room and his volcanic character raise questions.

"For some, it is a quality to remobilize and hold the locker room. For others, it can be a hindrance. Can decision-makers be persuaded by their sports adviser?"
