Jordan Henderson's heartwarming gesture after fan steals Liverpool captain's shirt

Jordan Henderson was left dismayed after a fan wrestled his shirt away from a fellow supporter following Liverpool 's victory at Crystal Palace on Sunday - but he personally intervened to set things right.

The Reds won 3-1 at Selhurst Park to close the gap on Premier League leaders Manchester City, and they were spurred on throughout the challenging contest by their vocal following in the away end.

Henderson, 31, came over to the travelling fans after the full-time whistle to thank them for their support before taking off his No. 14 jersey to pass it to someone in the crowd.

Henderson was seen pointing towards the culprit and protests from others in the away end can be heard.

The Liverpool captain can be seen gesturing to the victim and heard saying, "I'll get you another one", before turning and heading towards the tunnel.

Henderson lived up to his word and even posed next to the team bus for a picture with the fan.

The lucky supporter tweeted: "Such a lovely guy. Great performance today and thank you so much for coming out and giving your shirt as promised to my friend Helen."

Henderson played all 90 minutes in south London and he was "very pleased" with the result, even if he admits his side "took our foot off the pedal" at times.

Goals from Virgil van Dijk and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain gave Liverpool a 2-0 lead at half-time.

Fabinho then restored the two-goal cushion with a late penalty after Odsonne Edouard pulled one back for Palace.

"Very pleased overall
