Jordan Campbell lauds 'intensity 'of Rangers star who 'best summed up' dominant cup win

Jordan Campbell was left hugely impressed by Ryan Kent’s ‘intensity’ in Rangers’ 3-0 win this afternoon in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side were looking to progress to the last four of the competition off the back of a tremendous victory in the Europa League last Thursday.

In truth, it was an easy day at the office for the Gers, who cruised into a 2-0 half-time lead against Dundee after Connor Goldson’s strike and James Tavernier’s penalty.

The second half was similarly comfortable as Fashion Sakala added a third goal late on, and Rangers now have a last-four clash to anticipate in the middle of next month.

Taking to Twitter during the match as he provided updates, Campbell singled out Kent’s intensity as indicative of the team’s impressive overall performance, also giving credit to the 25-year-old’s team-mates.

The journalist tweeted: “Rangers have been really, really good here. They’re carving through Dundee in different ways, getting down the sides and linking up well around Morelos. Best domestic performance in a while, probably best summed up by Kent’s intensity today. All of them at it.”

Goals may have been hard to come by for Kent recently but his performances have still been quite solid, and today was no exception.

It has the potential to be a memorable final two months of the season for Rangers, who are still battling across three competitions. Van Bronckhorst’s men are just three points adrift of Celtic in the Premiership title race, also leading Red Star Belgrade 3-0 after the first leg of their Europa League last 16 tie.
