This year’s U.S. PGA Championship takes centre stage at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York, where a star-studded field mingles with LIV defectors for the first time since April. Following the tournament's move to May, the event is the first full-field major championship with its 156 golfers nearly doubling the 88-player, limited-field Masters.

With such a large contingent chasing major glory, there is a strong European flavour among the favourites. So who are the ones likely to have the best crack at the Wanamaker Trophy? Stretching back to last year, Rahm has finished inside the top 10 in 12 of his past 17 worldwide starts, with the aforementioned six victories and four other top-fives. The man is on a serious burner and doesn’t look like stopping any time soon.

Another weapon in his packed arsenal is the driver. With U.S. PGA Championship setups traditionally tending to favour the bombers on Tour, it is yet another element that can only benefit Rahm.
