John Hartson in Celtic note of caution as Parkhead legend pinpoints the major pitfall just around the corner

John Hartson has warned Celtic not to get carried away by their thrilling win over Rangers on Wednesday night.

Because he knows that for all the Hoops are in the ascendancy as it stands, all it will take is one stumble in the wrong place for the initiative to change hands.

Celtic ripped their rivals apart to reclaim top spot as a double from Reo Hatate and a strike from Liel Abada put them back on top of the Premiership.

And Parkhead hero Hartson was as buzzing as anyone with a "very convincing" performance.

However now the dust has settled, he realises there is plenty of football still to be played. And with only one point in it, he knows his old team can't afford to get carried away.

Hartson said on Go Radio: “There’s a long way to go.

“You asked me a couple of months ago who was going to win the title and I said Celtic. I was on with Kenny Miller and they asked Kenny, he said Rangers.

“Everybody’s got an opinion but it’s just one game, by the way.

“Celtic were very, very convincing. They’re the team at the minute that is riding the crest of a wave, in the ascendancy, but there are 14 games to go.

“There are some really tough games to go, Celtic have to go to Aberdeen next Wednesday night
