John Fury wants 'hater' David Haye banned from commentary on Fury vs Whyte

John Fury, Tyson Fury’s dad, has fired back at David Haye, after the retired boxer announced he would back Dillian Whyte instead of firm favourite Fury.

Ahead of his son’s WBC title fight against Whyte, Fury has announced that Haye should be banned from presenting on the broadcast.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Fury said:

“David Haye is not allowed to comment on that show. Haye needs to take a back seat in the stands where nobody can see him. I’ve already made it quite clear to Frank Warren – he is not allowed to be commentating on my son’s fight, otherwise there will be a problem.”

Haye, also suggested that Deontay Wilder would beat Tyson Fury when the pair boxed last October.

Fury said:

“He’s a hater, I don’t want him near my family, that’s the bottom line. They know me, BT, and I will not be silent if he’s there.”

Haye has said that a particular kind of boxer is needed to beat Fury and suggested that Whyte is that man.

He said “He can punch hard, he’s got cardio for days he’s got the desire and belief in himself. I think Whyte is going to pull off the upset. I think this is his opportunity. I think this is what he’s been waiting for.”

The fight between Fury and Whyte is expected to take place in front of a sell out Wembley crowd, with around 94,000 fans., the largest fight ever held at the national stadium.

Whyte’s last fight was the second of a double header against Russian Alexander Povetkin in which the Brit won the bout by TKO in the fourth round.

The Body Snatcher has avoided all media ahead of his title fight, including the press conference last month, in which Fury announced he would retire after the fight.
