Rangers are starting to ramp up their summer shopping spree with Antonio Colak set to sign while Joe Aribo gets set for his big money move down south. Celtic have already been active but as usual when it comes to the Glasgow rivals, punters like to chuck stones across the city.

When will their loyal fans realise they are in massive debt and maybe the board are trying to balance the books? Paddy Gowans emailed: “Let's face it, £10m for Aribo is Mickey Mouse money to these top tier English clubs. If he fails they write it off and he ends up on the scrapheap like most of the prima donnas.”

Hotline caller Ian McKay yesterday claimed Rangers would be champions and Europa League winners if key men hadn’t been crocked.

But Kenny Wilson, Moffat, said: “So another excuse for Rangers not winning the league last season was injuries. I totally agree and think it was unfair that Rangers were the only team to get injuries. I’m sure we will get more excuses before the end of the week – watch this space."
