Joachim Andersen shares some of the 300-400 vile DMs he's been sent - including death threats

Joachim Andersen was sent a series of abusive messages after his involvement in Darwin Nunez’s red card during Liverpool’s 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace.

Liverpool’s record signing was shown a straight red card for headbutting the Palace defender in the 57th minute during the draw at Anfield.

Footage has emerged showing the pair clashed on numerous occasions during the match.

While Andersen no doubt rattled Nunez – and made the most of the headbutt – there’s absolutely no denying the Liverpool man deserved his red card.

Even Jurgen Klopp admitted that after the match.

“A little provocation here and there – and definitely the wrong reaction,” Klopp said.

“A clear red card, I cannot deny that. I saw Andersen on the floor and Darwin walking away, that was my picture. Wrong reaction in the situation. Andersen wanted that, I would say, and he got it. But he made a mistake, Darwin, so of course we will talk about it.”

While Klopp is happy to admit Nunez was at fault, some Liverpool fans felt that it was all Anderson’s fault.

So much, in fact, that they decided to abuse the Palace defender after the match with some sickening messages.

It’s something we’ve seen all too often in the age of social media and it’s happened once again.

The Palace defender revealed the vile messages he received on his Instagram, writing: “Got maybe 3-400 of these messages last night. I understand you support a team but have some respect and stop act tough online.”

After the match, Andersen admitted that he ‘annoyed’ Nunez a lot – which led to the headbutt.
