Jim Goodwin tears into Aberdeen thugs who threw missiles at Dundee United dugout – 'Ban them for life'

Jim Goodwin hopes the Aberdeen supporters who threw an empty Vodka bottle and missiles at him and his Dundee United backroom team are caught and thrown out of football for life.

United’s 1-0 Tannadice win over the Dons was marred by pyro and things being thrown from the away end at their former boss and his technical area. A steward was ordered to come on to the pitch in the second half to take off a glass bottle that landed on the pitch along with various other objects. Goodwin said: “Yeah, absolutely, skimming over our heads and not just mine, my backroom team, the linesmen and the fourth official.

“I'm curious to know how many things were picked up off the pitch, but there was a considerable amount of objects thrown in our direction. Just thankfully there was a real gust of wind and it affected their aim.

It's all about my players, their attitude and their application again tonight.
