Jason Manford takes stranger to the theatre after 'no weirdos' Twitter plea
A woman enjoyed a last-minute night out at the theatre with comedian Jason Manford after he offered up a spare ticket on social media.
Hannah Fox found herself watching the Brokeback Mountain musical in London with Jason on Thursday night (May 26) after he had been let down by a friend. Just half an hour before the performance began, the Salford TV personality enlisted his Twitter followers for help.
At 7pm, he posted: "Right, random, but I’ve been let down so is anyone in central London right now and want to come and see Brokeback Mountain the musical tonight! I have an extra ticket. Soho Place theatre, 7.30! No weirdos, you buy the snacks!"

Londoner Hannah responded to the tweet in minutes, offering: "I can be there in 18 minutes... What do you reckon?" The pair agreed to meet outside the theatre, with Hannah reassuring Jason that she wasn't a weirdo.
Fans were eager to see the spontaneous plan work out, with many praising Jason for the move to give away his free ticket. Responding to one well-wisher, Jason he: "I just couldn’t stand for the performers to look out and see an empty seat and also hate wasting money!"
At the end of the night, Jason revealed the last-minute plans had been a success. He shared a photo of himself and Hannah at the theatre, writing: "What a wonderful play! Loved it. If you get chance to see @brokebackplay at @sohoplacelondon then do.
"Thanks to my random friend for the night @hannahrosefox for making sure I wasn’t sat by myself & to @eddireader for just being a goddess as always. Go see it. Beautiful."
