Jarrod Bowen makes senior England debut vs Hungary alongside West Ham teammate Declan Rice

Jarrod Bowen will make his senior England debut tonight against Hungary in the UEFA Nations League.

The West Ham forward was called up to the Three Lions squad for the first time for the upcoming games against Hungary, Germany and Italy and was widely tipped to make his debut during one of the matches. Gareth Southgate has now revealed his starting XI for the match at the Puskas Arena Park where Bowen will start in a front three alongside Chelsea's Mason Mount and captain Harry Kane.

Bowen enjoyed a brilliant 2021/22 season for the Hammers, helping them to qualify for European competition for the second campaign in a row after scoring 18 goals and contributing 13 assists in 51 games for David Moyes' side. The 24-year-old was also voted as the club's players' player of the season at their award ceremony, further cementing himself as one of the most important players in the West Ham team.

Bowen's appearance will make him the 18th West Ham player to play for England this millennium, following call-ups for Declan Rice (2019-), Jesse Lingard (2021), Joe Hart (2017) and Aaron Cresswell (2017). Rice, who also starts against Hungary, is making his 30th appearance for England and is the first Hammers player to amass over 20 caps for England while playing in claret and blue since Trevor Brooking did so in the 1970s/80s.

England have not lost to Hungary since 1962 and will hope to keep up their good record against them by playing in a 3-4-3 formation today. Jordan Pickford starts in goal, while Harry Maguire, Conor Coady and Kyle Walker play at centre-back, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Leicester City's James Justin - another debutant - starting at wing-back.

Rice is then partnered alongside Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham
