Jamie Carragher mocks Gary Neville and doubles down on Andre Onana criticism after Manchester United loss

Jamie Carragher has poked fun at Gary Neville after the ex-Manchester United captain blamed the Glazers for yesterday’s horror show.

Old Trafford was stunned on Saturday as an in-form Brighton side ripped the Reds apart to maintain their bright start to the campaign. Goals from Danny Welbeck, Pascal Gross and Joao Pedro put the Seagulls in a commanding position before a stunning consolation strike from Hannibal Mejbri softened the scoreline.

United fans left the ground in disbelief, with off-field controversy in recent weeks mirroring a poor opening five games. The result means Erik ten Hag’s side have lost three of the opening five fixtures - their worst start to a season since 2014-15.

After the match, former skipper Neville took to social media, condemning the club’s ownership for the loss. A recent report suggested the Glazers are in “no rush” to end their 18-year reign.

“Oh and yes the Glazers are responsible,” Neville posted. “It’s how it works. You own a business and everything good and bad sits with you! They inherited the best in all areas. They’ve overseen 10 years of mediocrity off the pitch and on the pitch.

“They set the culture of greed, ill-discipline, indecision and uncertainty that runs right through the club. It would be best if they sold the club with some speed and efficiency and allowed at least the off-the-pitch items to be corrected properly to reset the tone and culture.
