James Milner Only Speaks To His Children In Spanish, While His Wife Uses Another Language

Milner believes it's important for his two children to learn a different language and he's gone to extreme lengths to implement it.

"I’ve a place over here and I was so impressed with people who could flick between the two languages. Since my two children were born I’ve just spoken to them in Spanish.

"My missus speaks to them in English. They understand pretty much everything I say. It’s a very good gift you can give your children."

The 36-year-old then admitted he can be quite stubborn at home and this is one thing he's refused to budge on over the years.

He continued: "My missus will tell you that’s what I’m like, if I set my mind to something, I do it.

"I’m stubborn and I always want to be right. I hate losing. We have some great debates here. We always joke I could be a lawyer.

"I’m a pretty stubborn b***ard."

Milner has made 15 appearances in the Premier League this season but only seven of those have been as a starter.

Diogo Jota's brace saw Liverpool move nine points behind City with a game in hand.

Klopp has played down his side's chances of catching City but insists they'll fight until the end.

"I am not sure we are in a position to put them on our toes," Klopp admitted.

"Even if we have no chance to catch them, we have to win our games. This football club is massive. It is always the same situation: there is a game, we put on the shirts and we have to win it.

"But there is not only Man City to catch, there is a lot of teams behind us who want to catch us."

Liverpool return to action on Sunday away to Burnley.
