James Fowler frontrunner for key Rangers academy role as Kilmarnock legend targeted amid restructure

James Fowler is the frontrunner to be named as Rangers' head of academy recruitment.

The Light Blues have recently had a restructure of their academy. Head Zurab Amirian has been put in place and is looking to make a number of changes. Fowler is wanted to head up their academy signings. The former Queen of the South manager has plenty of experience on that front when he was head of football operations at Kilmarnock. Fowler has also had spells as No. 2 to Jack Ross at St Mirren and Sunderland.
