Jake Paul's coach makes honest Mike Tyson admission ahead of Netflix bout
Jake Paul's fight with Mike Tyson later this month will see a three-and-a-half year plan come to fruition. The YouTuber turned boxer takes on one of the sport's most iconic fighters and a heavyweight legend.
Despite being full of confidence heading into the bout, Paul has shared a clip on his Instagram page of the idea first coming to light - a conversation between himself long-time coach and friend J'Leon Love. The former super middleweight world title contender warned Paul against the idea and yet, it's a fight that'll take place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on November 15 - exclusively on Netflix.
The video, which Paul dates back to 2021 in the build-up to his fight with MMA star Ben Askeren, sees the YouTuber dub the prospect of fighting Tyson a hilarious idea. But it's now one that'll become a reality.

“I just came up with a crazy idea,” Paul says. “Do you think I could beat Mike Tyson?” Love can be seen laughing before giving his fighter a frank response, saying: “F*** no.”
Paul questions the response of his trainer and says: “Like not even a year from now?” However, Love, a former boxer himself claimed that there were levels to Tyson's game, responding: “Mike Tyson just got s*** he know how to do bro that’s just, like…”
Paul responds with Tyson is “a dog”, before adding: “I was just thinking, Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson? That would be hilarious.”
