Jake Paul next fight: Ex-sparring partner speaks out amid ongoing pay dispute

Jake Paul‘s sparring partner has accused him of not paying him enough after being kicked out of his boxing gym following a heated training session.

The YouTuber star-turned-prizefighter and now promoter, 25, has spent his past couple of fights finetuning his craft at an undisclosed location in San Juan, Puerto Rico, under the guidance of Tony Bellew‘s former opponent BJ Flores.

Elie Augustama, 36, has been drafted in to the American’s camp to help him prepare for his return to the ring in New York on August 13.

However, Augustama revealed on Wednesday last week that following an argument with Flores after Paul allegedly fouled him during a sparring session, he was unceremoniously thrown out of the gym despite his protests.

In several Instagram story posts, he said: “So I just finished putting in this work. 

“Why am I the one to get under everybody’s skin? I ain’t going to gaslight nobody. You paid me to work and you ain’t paying me enough motherf***er.

“You want to be disrespectful just because you tried to hurt my neck because I was giving you work? You’ve got me by 40lb my guy, I already gave you your flowers, I already gave you your respect, if you want, I will fight you tomorrow Jake Paul!

“Don’t be that type of guy because I’m helping you out, you’ve got the other sparring partner just going through the flow with you so he can get paid. I didn’t come here to be paid. I’ve got my own goals, I’m trying to be great.

“Don’t try me. Respect the king.”
