Jake Paul and Mike Tyson both called out by boxing legend Butterbean as he eyes ring return

Boxing legend Butterbean wants a piece of Jake Paul AND Mike Tyson.

The retired American boxer, 55, hung up his gloves in 2013 after a brutal second-round loss to Kirk Lawton but has got himself in decent shape.

And Butterbean – real name Eric Scott Esch – fancies his chances against the likes of Paul and Tyson, aged 25 and 56 respectively.

Esch recently called out Paul in this past month just gone, and he told The Sun of his wish to step into the ring with the upstart YouTuber.

He said: “I’m not a typical boxer, I go out there to fight, I want to knock somebody out. Jake Paul or Mike Tyson. 

“Jake Paul runs his mouth too much, he’s never fought nobody, I would love to fight him. 

“But I think people would like to see me and Tyson go at it, which would be a hell of a draw. 

“Me and Tyson are actually friends but I don’t mind fighting friends.”

American YouTube star Paul recently announced he will be making his boxing return on August 6.

As for Iron Mike, the 56-year-old returned to the ring, 15 years after retiring, in November 2020 in an eight round exhibition against Roy Jones Jr.

Esch coincidentally also received the same offer, but he revealed he was in no position to accept it at the time.

He added: “I was in that dark place. There was no way it was possible. 

“I’m alive right now, I’m good to go. And Mike is in great shape, it would be a hell of a fight. 

“We’d both come to fight, Mike ain’t going to run from me. That’s where his big mistake would be. 

“I sparred Buster Mathis a lot, so I know Tyson’s style.”
