Jadon Sancho to Dortmund transfer in doubt due to Man United misfit's video game habit and lack of sleep

A potential return to Borussia Dortmund for Man United misfit Jadon Sancho could be kiboshed over the winger playing too many video games.

Erik Ten Hag has bombed Sancho not just from the first team squad, but the dressing room and all facilities after a public spat. Ten Hag said he left the former Man City youngster out of the squad to face Arsenal earlier this month due to poor performance in training. But Sancho hit back after the 3-1 defeat at the Emirates, releasing a statement on social media claiming his boss wasn't being truthful and that he had actually trained well that week.

The resulted in Sancho being sent to train with the kids. And it emerged this week that his involvement with the first team has been cut off completely, not even eating with his peers and not using the same dressing room. Ten Hag wants an apology and teammates have apparently urged Sancho in private to swallow his pride, but he is yet to back down.

If that remains the case, then he will almost certainly be shipped out in January. A return to former club Dortmund would likely appeal to the player, but Bild reports that they have reservations. Mainly, due to Sancho not getting enough sleep by staying up late to play video games.

Being late for training is understood to be a habit that has continued at United. And Dortmund chiefs are concerned that bringing him back could unsettle the current squad.

The transfer fee United are likely to seek is another stumbling block. They want £52million and aren't interested in a loan, with a permanent sale one of their conditions.
