Jadon Sancho pinpoints key change which has improved his Manchester United form

Jadon Sancho reckons his ongoing upturn at Manchester United is due to a simple mentality shift.

A move four years in the making, Sancho finally touched down at Old Trafford during the summer transfer window when Borussia Dortmund agreed to sanction his £72.9million return to the UK.

Having progressed through the academy ranks at Watford - who head to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon (3pm) - and Manchester City, it was in the Bundesliga where Sancho forged his reputation as a professional.

Indeed, the England international scored 50 goals and provided 64 assists in four seasons with Dortmund.

One of three marquee summer signings, the 21-year-old initially struggled to replicate that sort of form with United and needed ten Premier League games to open his goal-scoring account for the club.

His two assists against Leeds were, meanwhile, his first for United in that particular competition and Sancho is now feeling much more confident in his surroundings - and what his fleet-footed skills bring to the party.

Speaking to the MUFC website, Sancho said: "I've been playing a lot of football recently. I guess that's because I've been working a lot harder and believing in myself a lot more and just trying to make things happen.

How many assists will Sancho provide this season? Have your say in the comments section below.

"I'm happy that my teammates are believing in me and giving me support, especially when I go one-v-one.

"[I also love] Hearing the fans when they cheer me on and are telling me to get at my opponent. I'm delighted with my performances."
