Jadon Sancho explains what Erik ten Hag has changed at Manchester United

Jadon Sancho believes Erik ten Hag has given Manchester United a clearer tactical plan than they had last season.

The winger was the match-winner at the King Power Stadium on Thursday, with the victory over Leicester City making it three in a row for Ten Hag after a disastrous start to the campaign.

United have begun to look more cohesive and fluent under their Dutch boss and Sancho' s goal came at the end of another slick team move.

It's a far cry from some of United's performances under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick last season, a wretched campaign that ended up as their worst in the Premier League era.

There are already clear signs of improvement under Ten Hag and Sancho believes a major part of this is due to the detail the 52-year-old is giving his players.

"I would say more information, a clearer plan and what to do, especially in some areas of the pitch," Sancho said of the changes under Ten Hag.

"We’re training more together and as you saw from pre-season, we’re playing well together. We’re playing in the style which the manager wants. Everyone is loving it at the moment.

"The style of play in training is what we’re working on. Some of that you see, some of it is the intelligence of our players, creating and knowing each other well."

United were at rock bottom less than three weeks ago, but the day after the humiliating 4-0 defeat to Brentford Ten Hag called the squad in and made then run 13.8km, the cumulative distance by which they had been outrun by the Bees.
