Jadon Sancho explains Manchester United improvement after scoring vs Leicester

Jadon Sancho has admitted enjoying a full pre-season at Manchester United this summer is helping him to perform better.

Sancho scored against Leicester on Thursday night and his strike was the matchwinner. Sancho's first-half goal, which was assisted by Marcus Rashford, was expertly-taken and it was his second of the Premier League season after his goal versus Liverpool.

The winger scored just five goals across all competitions last term and he's looking to improve on that tally this time around. Sancho has made a strong start and Erik ten Hag has selected him to start in all five of the Reds' Premier League fixtures.

Sancho was asked about his form after United defeated Leicester 1-0 on Thursday and he reflected on his pre-season preparation, which he suggested was better this summer.

"It was a great team goal," Sancho told BT Sport. "Obviously, doing pre-season with the team, it was my first pre-season as last year I missed pre-season, so I got to know the players a lot more, we worked on stuff and I'm getting more comfortable.

"We hoped to start the season with two wins, but that woke us up and I'm happy we got the third win today. We stuck to the game plan. We knew Leicester would come out fighting in the second half, and as you can see they had a few chances toward the end.

"I wanna score as many goals as possible, I have to keep on trying when I get the opportunities.

"Leicester are not easy, but the team stuck at it and got the three points."
