Jack Whitehall takes unexpected swipe at BBC's The One Show while on This Morning

Jack Whitehall may have been on This Morning but things took an unexpected turn when he made an unexpected swipe at The One Show. The comedian was on the ITV daytime show on Wednesday (May 3) to chat about his upcoming tour.

Jack is preparing to hit the road later this month in his 'Settle Down' stand-up show but has been completing some warm-up gigs in preparation. While chatting to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, the 34-year-old was asked about changes in his life since his last live show.

"How good are you at adulting? You’ve moved in with Roxy [Horner, his model girlfriend], you have a dog,” co-host Phil asked. But not responding directly to the question, Jack replied: "Can I say one thing I’m really impressed about" indicating to the London-based ITV studio as he sat on This Morning's famous sofa.

"One of the traits I find I’m very impressed with as an adult, is my love of coasters," Jack explained. "And it’s nice to see, finally, a show that has coasters," he said while picking up a coaster from the table.

"I was at The One Show the other day, and the state of the table on The One Show,” he raged. "You would have thought it was a junkie's carpet," he quipped in a savage manner, followed by laughter from Phillip and Holly.

"And this..." he added before pointing to the show's table, "is spotless and that's what I like to see." He quipped: "Standards on This Morning," to which Holly replied: "I'm glad you noticed and appreciated this." Things then swiftly moved on before it was time to wrap up his appearance on the show.
