Jack Robinson reveals secret behind Friday night turnaround that helped Sheffield United beat QPR

Sheffield United's Jack Robinson has revealed a half-time chat during their clash against QPR helped re-focus his side in a game they came from behind to win 3-1.

The Blades were 1-0 down at half-time following a Charlie Austin goal and were second best in almost every department. A loss to QPR could have been catastrophic for Sheffield in the race for the Championship play-off places and had they lost, they would be sitting outside the top six heading into the final game of the season.

But the Blades managed to re-gather themselves, with second half goals from Iliman Ndiaye, Robinson and Conor Hourihane sealing all three points for Paul Heckingbottom's side.

And Robinson reckons the half-time chat did the Blades a world of good. "We had a talk at half-time, we looked at where we were going wrong," explained Robinson.

"We weren’t creating enough, we weren’t having shots, we weren’t chasing the ball down. It was tough to be honest and then obviously, we came out second half and you could see from the first minute we were fired up. As I say, we got that first goal and that gave us a boost to get two and then three "

It was imperative for United to take three points from the clash with QPR, with the Blades' final game of the season seeing them take on table-toppers Fulham.

Had they lost to QPR, then Middlesborough would have leapfrogged Heckingbottom's side into sixth, leaving them on the outside looking in. And Robinson believes United showed just what they were made of in their come from behind win over the R's.

"Friday night, on the telly, there's absolutely massive pressure and every team is going to be watching us to see what we do to see if we slip up or not," added Robinson. "I think we’ve made a massive statement
