Jack Grealish silences ex-Aston Villa coach Roy Keane after Man City criticism

Roy Keane has often spoken his mind when it comes to Jack Grealish - but the playmaker responded to his latest dose of criticism with a fine display and a goal in the colours of Manchester City.

Former Aston Villa captain and boyhood fan Grealish left for City in a £100m deal in the summer and he scored just his fourth goal in a City shirt in the 2-0 FA Cup win at Peterborough United on Tuesday evening.

“Whatever Jack’s doing off the field, it does take its toll when you’re an attacking player, it’s another opportunity for Jack. I do think it’s about time he grew up.”

By full time, Grealish’s application had impressed Keane. He’d netted the second goal in the victory in the second half, sealing the win and progression to the quarter finals after Riyad Mahrez’s opener seven minutes
