Jack Grealish: Man City star set to sign seven-figure deal with Gucci
The profile of Jack Grealish has exploded in recent years, so much so that he is now set to sign a major endorsement with the iconic fashion house Gucci.
The Englishman has always been quite the celebrity across the UK, especially around the streets of the West Midlands. However, his red-hot form for Aston Villa last season put him right in the frame for a starting berth in England’s European Championship campaign and that’s where things really changed for the man from Solihull.
Not since the summer of the 1998 World Cup, when a young David Beckham was continuously overlooked by Glenn Hoddle, had we seen such collective demand from the population for one player to start.
Grealish was dubbed to be the ‘nation’s sweetheart’ and despite starting just one game throughout the entire Euros, his influence from the bench was integral in England’s progression into the later rounds.
A month later, the 26-year-old would surpass Harry Maguire and become the most expensive Englishman in history after completing a £100 million pound switch to Manchester City.
With his club well in the fight for both the Premier League and Champions League, Grealish is now competing on Europe’s biggest stages and is widely viewed to be one of world football’s leading stars. Not to mention, his spot on the plane to Qatar for the upcoming World Cup being all but assured.
According to David Ornstein over at The Athletic, unlocking this new level of fame has led to a large numbers of endorsement deals floating towards Grealish, most recently a seven-figure deal with the iconic Italian fashion brand Gucci.
Like many footballers, Grealish has been pictured plenty of times before sporting flashy Gucci gear, most likely it was gifted as a marketing ploy
