Jack Fletcher shows why Manchester United signed him from Man City with wondergoal in comeback

Manchester United's Under-21s completed a stunning 3-2 comeback against Barnsley thanks to a magnificent performance from Jack Fletcher in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday night.

Barnsley took a 2-0 lead in the first half thanks to goals from Vimal Yoganathan and they looked to be on their way to a comfortable victory until a dramatic ending unfolded.

United youngster Ethan Ennis made it 2-1 with a smart finish in the 81st minute and Fletcher, who was introduced from the bench, scored a few minutes late with an unbelievable goal, striking an instinctive volley from around 35 yards that dipped under the crossbar.

Jack Fletcher signed for United from Manchester City with his twin brother Tyler Fletcher last summer and was involved in multiple first-team training sessions last season.

Darren Fletcher's sons had been in the City academy for nine years but opted to move to United and a £1.25million fee was paid to sign the pair.

Both are highly regarded and sources at United believe they have first-team potential, which saw them given their first professional contracts
