Jack Catterall thanks Andy Halliday for 'gifts' as Josh Taylor rival readies Hearts windup for presser
Jack Catterall thanked Andy Halliday for some "gifts" ahead of his press conference for his upcoming bout with Josh Taylor - and it looks as if they may be Hearts themed.
Englishman Catterall is set to face off with the Tartan Tornado in a hotly anticipated rematch in April this year, the two going toe-to-toe in Leeds for the first time since Taylor's controversial split-decision win at the Hydro in 2022. Taylor is Hibs daft and makes no secret of it - he's supported the club since he was a kid and regularly pops up at Easter Road - and it seems Catterall has looked to Gorgie to push his buttons.
The two will stand nose to nose later on Monday in a press conference to promote the Leeds bout for April 27. And it seems Catterall has some Hearts-themed surprises in store, courtesy of a man still on the Tynecastle payroll.
He tweeted: "Big shout out to Andy Halliday for the gifts for the press conference today, see you all in Edinburgh," accompanied by a maroon and white Latvia flag as well as a red heart emoji. Halliday is currently on loan at Motherwell but it looks as if used his Jambo connections to kit Catterall out.
