ITV The Masked Singer fan left disappointed by 'deflating' live show visit

A Masked Singer fan has spoken out about their experience of being in the audience of the singing competition.

The ITV show has made a comeback with regulars Davina McCall, Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross, and Mo Gilligan on the panel. It has seen a wide range of performances so far with Eiffel Tower, Air Fryer, and Bubble Tea blowing away the crowd.

However, one super fan said they were left disappointed after attending the show live. They said that long queues and not being able to use their phone in the Bovingdon studio made them feel like it wasn't worth going, the Mirror reports.

The regular viewers said they weren't even able to see who was unmasked live, with the director allegedly yelling "cut" before the big moment. The man, who asked not to be named, said: "We weren't told at any point that things just stop seconds after the 'take it off' chants start.

"They go to take the mask off, then nothing - home you go. It's shocking. I don't know if it's a new thing or not, but it was deflating.

"We'd queued for hours to get in and as soon as you're finally through, they take your mobile off you. I understand they don't want secrets to come out, but if the audience can watch Strictly and aren't kicked out as soon as the exit announcement is made, why isn't it the same for Masked Singer fans?

"Nobody knows they just send you home before. It's like sitting through a seven hour film and the lights go up and the plug is pulled out just as you're about to find out who the killer is! Everyone was saying the same thing as they headed home. I wouldn't have gone if I knew the full story, what's the point?"
