ITV's The Masked Singer fans say 'it's so obvious now' as Teeth unveiled as Mel Giedroyc

The Masked Singer has revealed the identity of the celebrity behind the latest character to be booted off the show.

The hit ITV show returned earlier this month with a line-up of new celebrity contestants concealing their identity behind elaborate costumes and masks.

The new contestants include Bush, Dressed Crab, Bear, Kingfisher, Pegasus, Pufferfish, Snail, Spag Bol, Tattoo, Teeth, Toad In The Hole and Wolf.

So far, Toad In The Hole was unmasked as Macy Gray, Pegasus was unmasked as Prue Leith, Spag Bol was unmasked as Kate Garraway and just last week Tattoo was unmasked as Carol Decker.

On Saturday night's episode, which aired on 25 January, Bear, Bush, Dressed Crab, Kingfisher, Pufferfish, Snail, Teeth and Wolf battled it out on stage.

But it was Teeth, who was eliminated and they were unveiled as as Mel Giedroyc.

Viewers of the shower quickly took to X, formerly, Twitter to discuss the surprise celebrity behind the costume.

One user, @xSuzyJS79x, said: "Mel Giedroyc is so obvious now that she's been revealed." Somebody else wrote: "It's mel didn't expect that on the masked singer."

A third penned: "Well that’s hilarious, I had absolutely no idea it was Mel." While another mentioned: "Well done to the three people who have mentioned Mel Giedroyc for teeth this series before she was unmasked."

User @robpw2 added: "I was convinced it was Mel but she confused me tonight." The Masked Singer fan, @tajm_x, simply wrote: "I am obsessed with Mel being Teeth."

The Masked Singer will return next Saturday at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
