ITV's Lorraine Kelly apologises for on-air error before admitting to 'heavy weekend'

Lorraine Kelly was forced to admit on TV that she was still a bit worse for wear after a 'heavy weekend'. The presenter was back fronting her self-titled ITV show on Monday morning (September 26), which, like always, featured a preview appearance on Good Morning Britain.

Every day Lorraine checks in with the hosts of the ITV news programme, which today was Ed Balls and Susanna Reid. As she teased what was to come on her show, she said: "Harry Hill... Trying to get away from her error, she said: "So I'll see you at 9 o'clock." But an intrigued, Ed asked: "What is this product?" Lorraine started to laugh and replied: "It's a project, not a product."

Later, as she returned for the first of her five shows of the week, she was joined by Dr Amir Khan who wasted no time in suggesting Lorraine looked tired. "I may or may not have been partying all weekend," she admitted. Dr Amir continued to press the Scottish TV star for details.

"My lovely Rosie threw us a totally surprise anniversary party," she said. "So many people were there and I had absolutely no idea. It was lovely with all the attention to detail. She had flowers that were used from my bouquet 30 years ago. It was so lovely." Dr Amir replied: “How gorgeous.
