Helen Flanagan says 'sometimes it's hard work' as she spends 'bonding' time with son after criticism

Helen Flanagan has shared an update after taking time out to 'bond' with her son after clapping back at cruel comments about him on social media.

The actress has shared how she whisked her youngest child, Charlie, on a trip to Scotland after previously telling how she likes to spend one-on-one time with each of their three children.

Fans will know that Helen shares three children - Matilda, Delilah and Charlie - with her footballer ex, Scott Sinclair. The former couple split in 2022 after 13 years together and are juggling co-parenting their children while living at opposite ends of the country.

But taking to Instagram, the former Coronation Street star appeared happy to be spending some time away with her little boy and shared a number of sweet photos of them together on Instagram.

The 34-year-old wrote in view of her fans and followers: "A Scotland break was just what I needed. I booked this in January as January wasn’t the best, it was just one thing after another but February so far has been fabulous. My mum held the fort with the girls and it was nice to have a change.

"I love Glasgow and Scotland, I have only happy, gorgeous memories here and I find it relaxing, pondering around the west end and visiting Loch Lomond and I have so many special friends here. My life here was so calm. I think that’s why I like coming back so much x Lovely bonding time with my precious boy. My forever valentine. Beautiful stay in one of my favourite cities @achotelmarriottglasgow #gifted."

And her followers were soon leaving comments under the post. @suzypcn said: "Keep having these lovely memories lady, every Mumma deserves them and you are amazing." @katiemoulds94 commented: "So sweet!" @jamie_morgan5 wrote: "Beautiful."
